The 4Cs, demystified
C
Cut
The single biggest driver of brilliance. We default to Excellent or Ideal cuts — anything less and the stone looks dull no matter how big it is.

Color
Graded D (colorless) through Z. For most settings, G–H is the sweet spot: face-up white at a fraction of D-cost.
C
Clarity
VS1–VS2 is eye-clean to the naked eye and 30–50% less than VVS. We hand-pick stones for placement, not just paper grades.
C
Carat
Weight, not size. A well-cut 1.5ct can face up bigger than a poorly-cut 1.8ct. We help you optimize visible spread.
Choosing your metal
Platinum
Naturally white, never plated, hypoallergenic. The most durable choice for prongs and the heaviest in hand. Our default for center-stone settings.
18k White Gold
Brighter and harder than platinum but rhodium-plated — replate every 1–2 years to maintain the bright-white look.
18k Yellow Gold
Warm, classic, and the choice for skin tones with warm undertones. Ages beautifully without plating.
18k Rose Gold
Copper-alloyed for a warm pink hue. Romantic, distinctive, and pairs beautifully with morganite, champagne diamonds, and warm whites.
Center-stone options
Natural Diamond
The original. Mined under strict Kimberley-process compliance, GIA-certified, with full chain-of-custody documentation.
Lab-Grown Diamond
Chemically identical to mined, 30–60% the cost. We source IGI/GIA-certified stones from US labs with renewable-energy commitments.
Sapphire
Hardness 9 — second only to diamond. Available in every color except red. A growing favorite for distinctive engagement rings.
Moissanite
More fire than diamond, hardness 9.25, and a fraction of the price. Best for those who want maximum sparkle on a smaller budget.
Getting size right
Three ways to nail ring size — even as a surprise.
- 01.Borrow a ring. The most accurate method. Bring (or trace) any ring she currently wears on the intended finger and we'll size from it.
- 02.Order our free sizer kit. A printable strip + a real adjustable plastic sizer, shipped overnight.
- 03.Size up, resize after. When in doubt, we go a half size up and resize for free within the first year. Most surprises end up needing a small adjustment anyway.
